Celebrate with us as we enter our 50th anniversary of the PSBA Insurance Trust! What does our 50th anniversary mean to you? It means we have a long history of service to public schools and specialized expertise that makes us an ideal partner for school entities. We take great pride in this milestone and our continued commitment to public education and those we serve.
It was in the late 1960s and early 1970s that school directors across the commonwealth expressed concern over their ability to obtain responsibly-priced insurance products with coverage designed specifically for schools. As a result, in 1971, the Pennsylvania School Boards Association initiated an insurance and risk management program through the PSBA Insurance Trust. While we have seen many changes over the years, today, we remain as steadfast as ever in providing Pennsylvania’s public schools with the highest quality insurance programs.
As a leader in school insurance, the PSBA Insurance Trust makes it possible for member school entities to operate without undue concern about their ability to find sound, stable insurance coverages at responsible premiums. We work every day to ensure that our offerings are meeting the ever-evolving needs of our schools. Today, public schools in Pennsylvania turn to us to provide unique coverage options they can depend on, such as Better Unemployment Compensation System (BUCS) and Business Travel Accident programs.
