Leading the way in school insurance
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Pennsylvania’s school districts experienced difficulty obtaining responsibly priced insurance products catered to the unique needs of schools. To fill this need, PSBA formed a common law trust known as the Pennsylvania School Boards Association Insurance Trust (Insurance Trust) in 1971. Since its inception, the Insurance Trust has provided risk management and other services to PSBA members, endorsed insurance products provided by various insurers and produced millions of dollars in direct cost savings to participating school entities.
Continuing its commitment to providing the commonwealth’s school leaders with high-quality services, PSBA members are offered a select group of products to meet their unique needs through partnerships with A-G Administrators and Prudential Financial. A-G Administrators, a leader in the sports insurance industry, ensures that your entity’s non-paid volunteers and student athletes are protected from sudden, unexpected injury. Prudential Financial provides underwriting services for the Insurance Trust’s business travel accident insurance, which is available to all superintendents, assistant superintendents, business managers, principals, department supervisors, solicitors and administrator personnel.
